An Information and Assistance Specialist will speak to you and listen to your questions first. Each Specialist has up-to-date information and complete access to all currently available Federal, State and local programs and their requirements. He or she will then ask for specific information about the person who needs help, such as age, health status and income, that enables referral to the most appropriate service provider. After evaluating the needs, he or she will make referrals to local providers. All information discussed with a Specialist is strictly  confidential.
