Economic Development...

The Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center seeks to attain sustainable economic growth by attracting and promoting industry that will create jobs, raise income levels, diversify the economy, conserve natural resources, exhibit a positive external benefit to the region, and improve the quality of life of coastal residents.

We coordinate development initiatives among local governments in the region, promote regional tourism initiatives, and support educational and training efforts aimed at raising the skill level of the workforce. We serve as a conduit for federal funding to the region from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).

Broad strategies, objectives and projects have been identified in the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), which is prepared annually.
